Game 7

I don’t know how many of you like basketball, but its my favorite sport AND I live in Detroit, so I have this nervous twitch today in anticipation for tonight’s game.

Yea, loser. At least I get to have a few friends over for the first time at my new house. Anyway, go Pistons, take home back to back ‘ships, and parade on Monday!

DEEEEETRROOOOOOIT BAAAAASKETBAAAAAAAALLLL

Finally the move into the house is complete.

Big load off. But I’m down internet till Friday. Not very happy about that, but what you gonna do.

Still alot to do in the house in terms of small fixes and unpacking, but at least we are in now.

Satellite being hooked up tomorrow. Haven’t had multiple channels since I had TCI digital cable in college. Excited about that.

At any rate, got some new headache pills from my neuro doc that will supress my morning after headaches, so can’t wait to try those.

I’m getting bored looking at the design of this blog, I think I’m going to finally code my own. Keep and eye out for that.

Thankful

This is an email I got today from a buddy and I liked it enough to post here (instead of forwarding it to people who wont ready it anyway….)

I am Thankful :

FOR THE WIFE
WHO SAYS IT’S HOT DOGS TONIGHT,
BECAUSE SHE IS HOME WITH ME,
AND NOT OUT WITH SOMEONE ELSE.

FOR THE HUSBAND
WHO IS ON THE SOFA
BEING A COUCH POTATO,
BECAUSE HE IS HOME WITH ME
AND NOT OUT AT THE BARS.

FOR THE TEENAGER
WHO IS COMPLAINING ABOUT DOING DISHES
BECAUSE IT MEANS HE IS AT HOME,
NOT ON THE STREETS.

FOR THE TAXES I PAY
BECAUSE IT MEANS
I AM EMPLOYED.

FOR THE MESS TO CLEAN AFTER A PARTY
BECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE
BEEN SURROUNDED BY FRIENDS.

FOR THE CLOTHES THAT FIT A LITTLE TOO SNUG
BECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE ENOUGH TO EAT.

FOR MY SHADOW THAT WATCHES ME WORK
BECAUSE IT MEANS
I AM OUT IN THE SUNSHINE

FOR A LAWN THAT NEEDS MOWING,
WINDOWS THAT NEED CLEANING,
AND GUTTERS THAT NEED FIXING
BECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE A HOME.

FOR ALL THE COMPLAINING
I HEAR ABOUT THE GOVERNMENT
BECAUSE IT MEANS
WE HAVE FREEDOM OF SPEECH..

FOR THE PARKING SPOT
I FIND AT THE FAR END OF THE PARKING LOT
BECAUSE IT MEANS I AM CAPABLE OF WALKING
AND I HAVE BEEN BLESSED WITH TRANSPORTATION.

FOR MY HUGE HEATING BILL
BECAUSE IT MEANS
I AM WARM.

FOR T HE LADY BEHIND ME IN CHURCH
WHO SINGS OFF KEY BECAUSE IT MEANS
I CAN HEAR.

FOR THE PILE OF LAUNDRY AND IRONING
BECAUSE IT MEANS
I HAVE CLOTHES TO WEAR.

FOR WEARINESS AND ACHING MUSCLES
AT THE END OF THE DAY
BECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE BEEN
CAPABLE OF WORKING HARD.

FOR THE ALARM THAT GOES OFF
IN THE EARLY MORNING HOURS
BECAUSE IT MEANS I AM ALIVE.

AND FINALLY, FOR TOO MUCH E-MAIL
BECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE
FRIENDS WHO ARE THINKING OF ME.

Got Flushed

I really enjoyed my basketball tourney this weekend, but we lost in the loser bracket finals called the toilet bowl. If we would have won we would have got trophies and everything but we lost by 2 15-13. Like anyone cares.

Well, we are doing our moving this weekend and get into that house finally, but next week I may be down internet for 4 days ahhh due to the transfer

but at least I get to bbq there on sunday wooo hoo

I mentioned in my last post about my meds and the crappyness I feel.

Here is the reason I am on Avonex…

Once a week.

Plain and simple. I hate shots to begin with, let alone I can barely remember to take it once a week.

I have a PPO insurance policy, and the Tysabri (which I did love by the way, forget the crap surrounding it) is a $3000 infusion, I have to pay $200 approx of that. Well my insurance gives me a $1000 out-of-pocket premium for the year (like a deductable) and with 5 infusions I would hit that and then pay NOTHING. On a Rx, that is 360 a year always, not to mention my other medical bills. Trying to figure out whats worth it.

When Tysabri is released again (very soon I’m told by Biogen and Mich Inst of Neuro Disorders) I might get back on that.

OR I can not take anything 🙂 Yea right, those were the days.

Last night was my first softball game since the surgery and my at bats were crap (0-3) but I play 1st and we turned about 4 or so double plays and won 2-1 in extra innings.

Now on to the Gus Macker 3-on-3 basketball tourney this weekend. Plus I gotta get moving into my new house. sdehfsjdlhfsdljhflsdhoeihfds too much to do.

I wish, just for one day, my managers, wife, anyone could live my life and see what it feels like the day after I take my meds.

Maybe I wouldn’t get cussed at as much.

I think I do pretty well dealing with this thing. I still play sports, live like nothing is wrong.

Just frustrating how I can explain how I feel sometimes.

By the way….

DETROIT PISTONS IN THE FINALS!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Ok, all this working 7 days a week thing, and all he running back and forth from my appartment to the new house, I think its all catching up. I’m sooo tired, I think I’ve fallen asleep at my computer here at work about 3 times.

Anyone got a coffee?
